The territory of Saint Victor la Coste has been
inhabited for several millennia. In the hills - the "Costes" - there are caves where archeological digs have unearthed Neolithic artifacts, as well as evidence of occupation during the Age of Copper.

At the foot of the hills, Neolithic and Bronze Age remains abound.

In the plain, carefully made stone tools can be found, attesting to a dense and very active life in prehistoric times.
