| The washhouse pools are fed by the fountain. They are each divided into two sections, one for washing and one for rinsing. The rinsing section is the first, where the water feeds in, so that it remains clear and clean. |

| The roof is supported by arches built from cut stone known as "Pont du Gard," referring to the famous Roman aqueduct made from stone coming from the same quarries. Conforming to the regional vernacular architecture, the roof is composed of beams, then rafters on which rectangular thick flat clay tiles were set. The rounded roof tiles then protect the ensemble. |
