  The most common inhabitants of the wild hills of Saint Victor la Coste are the green oak and the juniper.

The green oak has always been used to heat the houses of the village. The branches were also once gathered to heat the bakers' ovens.

A natural oil was made from the juniper branches which was used to care for sheep.
Turpentine pistachio, arbousier and boxwood are also common in the woods, as well as scrub oak.
